The birth of my granddaughter (in 2014) had me searching for something that I could gift to her. Something enduring and of this region – primarily giving her a taste of Arabia. At much the same time, I encountered the extraordinary desert hare at both the Al Ain Wild Life Safari Park and the Arabian Wildlife Centre (Sharjah).
I had my material! I would write a story about a desert hare in the Arabian Desert.

About the Illustrator
Mark Clemens
Illustrator, Mark (the guy who does the good stuff) currently works as a 3D-animator. He has also worked on some full length animated movies, and this experience is evidenced in ''Jana Hops to the Top''.
Mark's illustrations are wonderfully accurate, and the humour is artistically captured. Nicely done, Mark!
